I grew up in Southern California but spent much time all over California doing gold panning, sluicing, and dredging. When I moved to Oregon and Alaska I worked way too hard to have much time prospecting. But found a couple of small nuggets.
My first time of trying out fishing as a hobby was when I lived on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. I mainly fished for Red and Silver Salmon.
I realized when I married my wife Carmi things would need to change. She loves eating fish and fishing. So when we moved to Greers Ferry I made a commitment to fish more. But still was not that serious about fishing.
Then, I joined the Walleye Club as a newbie to learn more about fishing. That changed everything with me, especially when I went out on the lake with someone who is an expert fisherman. I caught some good tasting Walleye, now I am a Wannabe Walleye fisherman.
